SHS Research Projects Presented in the 2nd International Turkic World Congress on Humanities, Social, Education, and Finance

Eight SHS Research Projects were presented during the 2nd International Turkic World Congress on Humanities, Social, Education, and Finance, organized by Azerbaijan State University of Economics and BZT Turan Academy. This was held on June 6-8, 2024, onsite in Baku, Azerbaijan and via Zoom, and was attended by delegates from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Nigeria, Zambia, Poland, India, Algeria, Macedonia, Malaysia, Uganda, South Africa, Morocco, Sri Lanka, and the Philippines. 

Three papers were outputs by Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) specialized in Tourism students. The first of which is entitled “USE OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE TRANSLATION MOBILE APPLICATION: BELIEFS AND TRAVEL OUTCOMES OF EAST ASIAN TOURISTS IN ANGELES CITY, PAMPANGA” was authored Janelle Niña S. Bismonte, Avielle Marie Victoria T. Ochava, Jhane Margareth D. Galanida, Jana Paola Arias, Kenshine R. Cabarloc, Angelina Julie T. Oledan, Sofia Angelique H. Silang, Mikylla Bernadette T. Yaba;


The second paper is entitled “TALENT MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES EMPLOYEE’S PERFORMANCE, RETENTION, MORALE, AND JOB SATISFACTION OF EMPLOYEES OF TRAVEL AGENCIES IN MANILA” was authored by Janelle Niña S. Bismonte, Avielle Marie Victoria T. Ochava, Jhane Margareth D. Galanida, Jana Paola Arias, Kenshine R. Cabarloc, Angelina Julie T. Oledan, Sofia Angelique H. Silang, Mikylla Bernadette T. Yaba.


Third paper is entitled “TALENT MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES, EMPLOYEE’S PERFORMANCE, RETENTION, MORALE, AND JOB SATISFACTION: THE CASE OF A SELECTED HOTEL ESTABLISHMENT CHAIN IN QUEZON CITY” was authored by Claire Aquino, Janna Rodrigo, Jhon Zen Arceno, Alexa Casal, Herchey Gonzales, Margaret Cadiapa.


Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) specialized in Robotics students produced two research papers including a demonstration of their proposed prototype, for the benefit of the community of farmers in Batangas. The paper entitled “MANGBUBUKID: A PROPOSED PROTOTYPE TO ADDRESS THE GOLDEN APPLE SNAIL INFESTATION OF SMALL-SCALE RICE FARMERS IN BATANGAS” was authored by Angel Isabelle Romero, Rhenz Anne Enrique, Taemin An, Laica Mae Asauro, Eon Branden Daem Benavidez, Prince Richard Cubelo, Diana Margareth Ilaw, and Hale Avery Tuazon.

The paper entitled “FARMER RESIDENT’S ASSESSMENT OF HOME FIRE SAFETY IN A SELECTED RURAL BARANGAY IN QUILO-QUILO NORTH, PADRE GARCIA, BATANGAS: BASIS FOR A PROPOSED FIRE SAFETY PROTOTYPE” was authored by Juliana Simone Rey, Chresta Jan Compacion, Shan Joseph Checa, John Albert Compas II, John Paulo Mendoza, Theo Van Eadoin Vinoya, and Rodelio Jr. Vista.


On the other hand, Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) specialized in Business documented their research-based community extension project to the farmers of Rizal in their paper entitled “A NEEDS ASSESSMENT SURVEY ON THE FRUITS AND VEGETABLE FARMERS IN PILILLA, RIZAL: BASIS FOR A PROPOSED INTENSIVE TRAINING PROGRAM” which was authored by Aliyah Grace Gabrielle B. Reyes, Tricia Anne S. Mijares, Jana A. Basco, Shairah Marie E. Derama, Claire Beatrice M. Avinante,  Adnan Marshall M. Kanan, Jam Wayne Calunsag, Yvan Louie Yves Radam, and Kyle Andrei Dela Rosa.


Ensuring the full implementation of policies and the law was the focus of the paper entitled ”AN ASSESSMENT OF PASAY POLICE OFFICERS ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ANTI-VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND THEIR CHILDREN ACT OF 2004 (RA 9262)” which was authored by Humanities and Social Sciences students: Faith R. Concubierta, Clarisse Danielle R. Eriga, Rae Margarette M. Baradero, Iya Asherah G. Bonifacio, Brent Macaulli A. Ancheta, Bianca Jhanelle N. Gallana, Avril Ann V. Batungbacal, and Ariona Ysabelle O. Ramos.


The LPU Pirates-Mens Basketball Team were the main beneficiaries of the research project of Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) specialized in Culinary for their paper entitled “ASSESSING THE SPORTS NUTRITION KNOWLEDGE OF STUDENT-ATHLETES OF LYCEUM OF THE PHILIPPINES UNIVERSITY: BASIS FOR A PROPOSED MEAL PLAN” which was authored by Hanna Yu Anday, Dana Santiago, Mikyla Larin, Margarette Baltazar, Yuzhny Fontamillas, Charmagn Mateo, and Albert Mitra.


These students were under the guidance of the Content Lead for Science and Innovative Research, Mr. John Christian Espinola and were co-mentored by Mr. Ell Clifferson Gallardo, Mr. Nigel Ian Christopher Go, and Ms. Josefina Lazaro.
