International Relations

This is a four-year program designed to develop expertise in the theory and practice of international relations, primarily through instruction and research. It provides students thorough preparation for a career in the foreign service, government, international organizations, as well as in private and voluntary sectors. 

The program primarily deals with the interplay between and among international relations, politics, economics, history, culture, and public administration. Purposively designed to address the ever-evolving industry requirements and to help students pass the Foreign Service Officer Exam, the program includes courses In International and Regional Organizations; Protocol, Etiquette and Social Graces; Diplomatic and Consular Practice; International Trade Practices and Trends; Import-Export Procedures; Perspectives on Civilizations (World History); International Law, Cross Cultural Communication; Philippine Public Administration; Philippine Political, Economic and Socio-Cultural Conditions; and Philippine Foreign Policy. 

Students are also required to finish four language levels in French, Spanish, Nihongo, or Mandarin. 

The roster of faculty includes diplomats, lawyers, industry practitioners, and language specialists.
