IMPLEMENTATION OF INTELLECTUAL CAPITAL MANAGEMENT IN THE BANKING INDUSTRY IN HENAN PROVINCE: BASIS OF AKNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK

Abstract:

This study has investigated the degree of implementation of the four (4) components of intellectual capital management (ICM); namely, intellectual property ownership, market assets, human resource assets, and infrastructure assets in the respective respondents banks in Henan Province, meanwhile, the researcher also looks into their respective impacts of ICM implementation in the selective banks through the variables, organizational monopoly, market dominance, human resource leverage, and comparative advantage.

A quantitative analysis on the data gathered from a self-designed questionnaire discloses the respondents views human resource asset as the most important component among ICM while human resource leverage as the most significant impact result from ICM implementation.

Likewise, processing the data by proper statistical approaches, the study finds among the 5 selective banks, there are particular sub-variables belonging to intellectual property ownership, market assets, human resource assets, and infrastructure assets respectively significantly impact for attaining of organizational monopoly, market dominance, human resource leverage and comparative advantage.

On the grounds of finding, this research has formulated a knowledge framework model as the playbook for the bank industry to calibrate their ICM and enhance their competitive advantage amid competition.
