IMPACT OF COVID-19 TO THE INTERNATIONAL TRADE RELATIONS BETWEEN CHINA AND THE PHILIPPINES

Abstract:

The plight of the year 2021 is mainly focused on the eradication of the Covid-19 pandemic which started in Wuhan, China. Global lockdown, social distancing, wearing of facemasks and face shields, and closing of borders has been the emerging trend internationally. These are the phases taken by countries across the globe in hope of mitigating and containing the spread of the virus. However, in doing so, the economic run and facet of the globe have been affected significantly. With the closing of borders, the international flow of goods has decreased greatly. Hence, this study is engrossed in probing the bearing of Covid-19 specifically on the bilateral trade relations between the Philippines and China.
