Status and Challenges of Local Food and Beverage Entrepreneurs: A Recapture Plan

Abstract:

Economic changes are taking place around the world, including in the Philippines, because of the COVID-19 outbreak, which has had a significant impact on the hospitality industries. For one thing, the food and beverage industry, which is centered on providing a venue to sell food and beverages to consumers has been severely impacted. This study is non-experimental research because this is an experienced in covid pandemic outbreak. By collecting the quantifiable data and applying statistical methods the researcher used Cronbach Alpha and Wilcoxon Signed Test. This research aims to determine the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on Local Food and Beverage Entrepreneur, as well as provide a foundation for a business-friendly recapture plan. The results of this study show that the food and beverage are gradually attempting to adjust to the current global circumstances. To recover profitability, the food and beverage industry are reevaluating their potential financial, supplies and materials, manpower, marketing and operational.
