Factors Influencing The Effectiveness of Learning Modality: The Case of Online Vs. Face-to-Face Setting

Abstract:

This study aimed to identify the differences in the learning effectiveness between the online and face-to-face learning modality. The method of this study was a quantitative method to utilized structured online survey questionnaire and interview question to gather the data. The study participants were 250 CITHM students of Lyceum of the Philippines Manila. The researchers introduced effective approaches and proposed suggestions that are relevant to the respondents and others interested in the study. The results showed that most of the respondents agreed that online learning is less effective than face-to-face learning. The study found that the respondents possess a basic understanding and awareness of the factors that impact the effectiveness of different learning modalities, specifically comparing online and face-to-face settings.
