Sotero H. Laurel – Academic Resource Center

The library was named after the late Senator Sotero H. Laurel on September 27, 1989 in abiding appreciation to his passion for scholarship, spirit of enlightened nationalism, unceasing quest for the truth and in grateful recognition of his life time dedication to the Lyceum of the Philippines University

Senator Sotero H. Laurel is the 2^nd LPU President, the 4^th child of Dr. Jose P. Laurel, Lyceum’s founding president, and the father of Lyceum’s 3^rd President, Atty. Roberto P. Laurel.

The library is a one floor area located at the third floor of the Mabini Wing. It can seat more than 700 readers at a time.

Library Mission

To support the University’s instructional, curricular, research and extension programs through an organized, relevant, and fast delivery of information services.

General Objective

To provide an adequate, stimulating and collaborative learning environment through access to informational sources necessary to keep Lyceum of the Philippines University a learning organization.
