On May 27, 2024, an initiative of spreading awareness on efficient energy consumption happened at Intramuros, Manila. This project entitled, “EcoPower” was project headed by the SDG 7 Affordable and Clean Energy Student Ambassador of LPU Manila, Ms. Julienne Aspen Penollar. The project was accomplished with the help of the other SDG Student Ambassadors of LPU Manila as well as the other ambassadors of Technological Institute of the Philippines – Manila.

The objectives of this project are to spread awareness and influence more people on efficient energy consumption, the initiative would be a micro action since a day of trying to spread knowledge will not have an immediate response but if other people witness that more and more individuals are starting to make a change, then hopefully, they will adapt it as well. With that, the project will have a macro effect towards the environment and the people’s actions, to influnce more people by giving out flyers about efficient energy consumption is one of the most convenient ways to spread out information, to make an impact on “Gen Zs” middle-upper class since most of them are on the privileged side. They are the ones who can make a bigger impact as they start the change everyone is waiting for, and to educate people about efficient energy consumption.
