Kwentong Bayanihan: Stories from Filipino Peacekeepers

CIR Days: The Foreign Service Club of the College of International Relations, in partnership with the Department of Foreign Affairs, successfully held the event entitled, “Kwentong Bayanihan: Stories from Filipino Peacekeepers” on May 21, 2024. A static display at the LPU Quadrangle further highlighted the peacekeeping efforts. The display, featuring equipment used by UN Philippines, offered a first-hand glimpse into their valuable contributions. Students and visitors were allowed to try protective equipment, take pictures with heavy artillery, and converse with the officers about their line of duty. The exhibit ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by distinguished guests, including the Acting Director of Peace and Security Division from the Department of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Jan Michael Gomez; the Dean of the College of International Relations, Amb. Maria Aileen Bugarin; the Executive Director for Strategy and Operations, Dean Randy Sacdalan; the Field Program Coordinator for Women, Peace and Security Programme of UN Women Philippines, Mr. Jonas Gregory Perez; LTC.
