LPU-Manila SHS celebrated Christmas with the event “CHRISTMASaya sa LPU Manila: Sama-sama sa Paskong puno ng pag-asa at ligaya” organized by SHS-Lyceum Central Student Government (SHS-LYCESGO) on December 21, 2021, via Microsoft Teams. Students and faculty members of LPU-Manila SHS participated in the event.  

Sir Ell Clifferson Gallardo, the current adviser of SHS-LYCESGO, gave his opening remarks. He thanked all students and teachers present at the event and commended SHS-LYCESGO for organizing the event even though the semester is already finished. He also advised the attendees to have fun and enjoy the virtual Christmas program.  

“Let’s capture some magical moments. Let’s create happy memories, and let’s surround ourselves with laughter and friendships as we celebrate this special season.”  

Subsequently, the announcement of winners for the “Merry Picture Perfect” competition took place. Team 5 (STEM-Health Science) got the second-place with the cash prize of Php 3,000.00, while Team 3 (ABM-Tourism) was the grand champion with the cash prize of Php 5,000,00. The remaining prizes were allotted to raffle winners drawn from the first 20 participants to enter the event. 

The next set of winners were announced for the “Jingle-Jingle All the Way” competition. The 2nd runner-up was Team 3 (ABM- Tourism) with the cash prize of Php 2,000.00, the 1st runner-up was Team 1 (ABM-Business) with the cash prize of Php 3,000.00, and the grand champion was Team 5 (STEM-Health Science) with the cash prize of Php 5,000.00.  

Ms. Therese Acain, incumbent president of SHS-LYCESGO, gave the closing remarks on which she thanked everyone who took part in the event. She also emphasized the program’s objective and how SHS-LYCESGO has lots of upcoming events stored for the students of LPU-Manila SHS.  

“This event was intended to bring us closer to our schoolmates and to allow us to enjoy ourselves as the semester and the school year comes to an end. I hope you all enjoyed not only our culminating event today but also the contests LYCESGO has prepared for you.”  

Before officially ending the event, the masters of the ceremony, Ms. Bea Monique Perez, SHS-LYCESGO Coordinator of Discipline, and Ms. Angel Braza, SHS-LYCESGO Secretary, asked the participants to open their cameras for the photo-taking opportunity. Then, the playing of the LPU Hymn concluded the event.
