LPU-Manila Senior High School hosted DepEd Manila’s Beginning of School Year Assembly (BOSYA) 2022-2023

Lyceum of the Philippines University- Senior High School has just recently hosted the DepEd- Manila’s Beginning of School Year Assembly (BOSYA) for the Academic Year 2022-2023 last August 11, 2022 via Zoom.
The event was participated by the different private schools’ educators and administrators in the Division of Manila. The program aimed at orienting the stakeholders on the guidelines stated in DepEd Order No. 34, s.2022 since all educational institutions both public and private are now preparing for the blended learning modality for School Year 2022-2023 and for the eventual full face-to-face learning in November 2022.
The program was graced by Mr. Paolo S. Laurel, LPU-Manila’s Vice President for Non-Academic Operations in his welcoming remarks, followed by the inspiring insights from Dr. Maria Magdalena M. Lim, CESO V, Schools Division Superintendent.

To break the ice, the LPU Chorale serenaded the participants with a song number. Ms. Cristina Moya, the Discipline Officer of LPU-Manila SHS then acknowledged the participants and gave a short and lively activity. The meeting proper was presided by the Public Schools District Supervisor and Private Schools Focal Person, Dr. Ofelia A. Mampusti.

Sharing the highlights of DepEd-NCR Summit and DepEd Order no. 34, s 2022 was conducted by Dr. Gregoria P. Malihan, the Quality Assurance and Research Development Officer of St. Jude Catholic School, followed by the discussion of the Commonly Asked Questions which was presented by Dr. Sining M. Kotah, the Vice President for Academics of Philippine Cultural College-Basic Education, Manila Campus. After the presentation, insights on the topics was then shared by Ms. Elmita M. Sutingco, PRISSAAP Vice President for Luzon and the Director of St. Dominic Montessori-Manila.

The updates regarding the Learners Information System (LIS) were presented by Mr. Mark Garcia of DepEd Manila, and the recapitulating insights was delivered by Ms. Clarence Ella D. Alipio, LPU-Manila’s Senior High School Principal where she summarized and stated the main points of the program.

After the closing remarks of Dr. Ofelia Mampusti, the participants wholeheartedly sang the Awit ng Maynila and NCR Hymn. Ms. Irene G. Cruz, the SHS Coordinator of LPU-Manila formally ended the program with a closing prayer.
