LPU successfully holds Face-to-Face SHS Grade 11 Recognition
The Lyceum of the Philippines Senior High School Department successfully held a face-to-face recognition for Grade 11 excellence awardees for A.Y 2021–2022 last June 14, 2022, at the JPL Hall of Freedom at LPU-Manila and was broadcasted live on the school’s official Facebook page.
To formally start the program, Mr. Darren G. Follero led the prayer, followed by a message from MS. Clarence Ella D. Alipio, SHS Principal. Soon after, two LPU Alumni were invited to give an inspirational speech to the students.
Mr. Althani Leonida, STEM Pioneer Batch of 2018, left an inspirational message saying, “You will shine if you will do things that you love,” while Dj Jhai Ho, from the College of Arts and Sciences Class of 2010, encouraged the students with his words, “With hard-work, initiative, and perseverance, you can be who you ever want to be, so be strong and keep the faith.”
Afterward, Ms. Hanah Abegail Navalta and Mr. Billy Natad announced the names of the awardees. At the same time, Ms. Clarence Alipio gave the certificate of recognition to the members of various school clubs, followed by the giving of academic excellence awards to the students (with honors, high honors, and highest honors). The awardees were accompanied by their parents or guardians.
As the program neared its end, Kizabelle Iona Angelica L. Aromin, the grade 11 student with the highest honors award, gave her speech to her fellow students. Followed by a short video made by the Lycean Pioneer that was played showcasing the memories the students made throughout the year. The program ended with the singing of the LPU SHS Hymn led by Ms. Edrea Lee C. Naig of ABM Batch 2019.
