Driving Innovation, Unleashing Talents as the BS Esports of LPU Manila secures the 48th Rank in the World Universities with Real Impact (WURI) 2023. 

LPU Manila’s BS Esports program has been recognized for its dedication, skills, and passion by the students, professors, and staff. The university’s state-of-the-art facilities and commitment to Esports as a legitimate field have allowed students to pursue their dreams and excel in their passion. 

The Bachelor of Science in Esports focuses on the back-end or the business aspect of Esports. The program comprises two specializations, Esports Management and Game Design and Development, grounded on the fundamental knowledge of Esports. Esports Management covers the fundamental concepts of Esports management meant to enhance the administration and organization, planning and team management, and business skills of the students. This specialization also enables the students to develop business plans, organize and coach teams, plan and implement events utilizing live streaming, and promote events via digital technology.

On the other hand, the specialization in Game Design and Development covers the concepts, principles, and techniques in design and development grounded on the fundamental knowledge of esports. This aims to develop knowledge and understanding of Esports blended with the concept of game design theories and game programming. The program enables the students to enhance creativity and inventiveness in game design and game development grounded on the fundamental knowledge of Esports. Students taking BS Esports explores the culture of esports internationally, and experiences opportunity for collaboration with industry through internship programs and bootcamps as well as association with different schools through Esports competition.

The BS Esports program is the 1st Four-year degree program being offered in the Philippines in response to the growing demand of Gaming trends in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This program leads the students to build a career with more job opportunities which are becoming available beyond gaming such as jobs in management, operations, sales, event planning, coaching, travel agent, and even social media coordination. The fast-growing Esports industry and its recognition in international competition have made a limitless workforce opportunity within the Esports ecosystem which led to the development of a full 4-year curriculum for the BS Esports program at Lyceum of the Philippines University Manila.
