RIC attends the HORIZON2020 Proposal Workshop
More opportunities for innovative research are coming out through HORIZON 2020, the biggest flagship research and innovation programme implemented by the European Union. With a funding of EUR 80 billion from 2014 to 2020, Horizon 2020 focuses in promoting excellence in science, industrial leadership and various researches discussing societal changes. #EUinthePhilippines takes pride as Horizon 2020 envisions to break down barriers through research and innovation.
The European Commission and EU Delegation to the Philippines in partnership with Silliman University and De La Salle University promote scientific pursuits and research excellence. Marie Curie Alumni Association ASEAN President Dr. Jen Lind- Elmaco and Country Representative of the Philippines, Dr. Brian Gozun together with EU grant expert, Dalibor Drjlaca conducted the European Research Funding and Collaboration Opportunities Workshop with a focus on Horizon 2020. Ms Caroline Maningo, Programme Manager, EU Delegation to the Philippines cited the importance of research in development during the workshop.
Over 50 participants from diverse academic and research institutions across the country attended the workshop held recently at De La Salle University, Manila. LPU representatives were Dr. Victorina Zosa and Ms. Joanna Juvyjoy Rojo.
