As part of Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) Manila’s strategic plans, the Midyear Management Review and Planning Workshop was held on October 25 and 26 at The Bayleaf Cavite. The Management Review and Planning Workshops are held twice a year to assess what was accomplished against the targets set, and to review plans and make new targets for the coming year. Senior Leaders, student leaders, alumni, faculty, non-teaching personnel and Management all came together to discuss the aforementioned matters.
Prior to the actual Midyear Workshop, the Key Result Areas (KRAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) were discussed and reviewed. The sessions of the workshop proper included a welcome message from LPU President Atty. Roberto P. Laurel, through which he congratulated everyone for institutional and program accreditation achievements and challenged the group to focus on faculty development, program review and enhancements, and facility improvements in preparation for the return of first year students in Academic Year (AY) 2018-2019. LPU Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Conrado E. Iňigo, Jr. presented new educational imperatives as well as accomplishments of LPU in various areas. Champions of the various KRAs likewise presented the accomplishments in the various areas. A workshop then focused on the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis of assigned areas per group, and a review of the KRA and the KPIs in the light of new developments.
