As part of networking and possible linkages, Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) Manila Executive Director for Planning and Development Ma. Christina G. Aquino was invited to speak about various Tourism-related topics in several events. On October 7, 2016, Aquino spoke about ”Tradition in Transition, Intensifying the Tourism Industries’ Vibrant Transformation” at the 10th Hospitality and Tourism Management National Convention hosted by Jaunts and Journey Events Management held at L’Fisher Hotel in Bacolod. At the said forum, she shared developments in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) for Tourism Professionals that must be considered by educators in enhancing their curriculum.

She also spoke about Sustainability, Competitiveness and Growth in the Tourism Industry during the 4th Avahan 2016 Conference from October 21 to 23 at the Amrapali Institute of Hotel Management, Haldwani, Nainital, Uttarakhandin Haldwani, India. As the Chief Guest, she also participated in the panel discussion.
On November 18, Exec. Dir. Aquino also spoke on “Entourprises” at St. Paul’s University, Quezon City, where she shared about the ASEAN Community and the ASEAN MRA for Tourism Professionals which will affect Tourism and Hospitality students, employees, and employers.
