For continued success in achieving its vision of global innovation and academic excellence, Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) was recently honored during the 27th Annual General Assembly of the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) held at the Grand Ballroom of Novotel Araneta Center on December 2, 2016. With the theme Impact of Quality Assurance on the Internationalization of Education, The General Assembly awarded LPU, together with other higher educational institutions (HEIs), with multiple citations for its numerous accomplishments.

The Manila, Batangas, Laguna, and Cavite campuses were all recognized for being granted the QS Stars™ Three Stars Rating. LPU is the Philippines’ first private, non-sectarian educational institution to receive such distinction from the said international awarding body. Furthermore, LPU Manila and Batangas were cited by PACUCOA as HEIs that were granted Autonomous Status.
LPU Batangas was also recognized for its other accomplishments. Among the different citations were receiving the Philippine Quality Award for proficiency in Quality Management (Level III), being the First International Travel and Tourism Management Program to have been granted Level IV Accredited Status in the Philippines, and the First International Hospitality Management Program, as well as the First Marine Engineering Program, to have been granted Level IV Accredited Status in Region IV.
