In pursuit of the drive toward global innovation and excellence, eleven faculty members from the Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) Manila, Batangas, Laguna, and Cavite campuses attended the Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) course organized by the Asiaworld Hospitality at The Bayleaf Intramuros on June 4-6, 2016. The intensive workshop and certificate examination was the first of its kind conducted in the Philippines.
Among the participants from LPU Manila were Executive Director for Planning and Development Ma. Christina Aquino, LPU College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management Dean Dr. Beth Aragon, Culinary Director Chef Christopher Bautista, Cruise Line Program Chair Diosdado Garalde Jr., and Culinary Institute Quality Assurance Officer and Culinary Chair Julie Ann Mendoza. With over thirty years of experience in the hospitality industry, Auckland University of Technology (AUT) School of Hospitality and Tourism Program Leader and Senior Lecturer Fr. Robert Steele conducted the workshop.
