This program provides general accounting education to students who want to pursue a professional career in Accountancy in general and in Public Accounting. Further, this program complies with the latest competency framework for professional accountants issued by the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) through their International Education Standards. Thus, this qualifies the graduate of the program to take assessments leading to certifications in Accountancy given by the Professional Regulatory Commission - Board of Accountancy PRC-BOA) and other global professional Accountancy organizations. As a study field, Accountancy involves providing assurance and audit services for statutory financial reporting, tax-related services, and management advisory services partnering in management decision-making. It also involves devising planning and performance and control systems and providing financial reporting and control expertise to assist various stakeholders in making decisions.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN CUSTOMS ADMINISTRATION (BSCA)

The BSCA program immerses its students in various in-depth practical training and seminars facilitated through its college-based organization – the Philippine Society of Customs Administration (PSCAS). Such notable events include the first International Port Tour held in Singapore; various Domestic Port Tours; seminars coordinated by government agencies such as the Tariff Commission regarding Tariff Classification, and; Value-added Service Provider simulation workshops in coordination with private partners. The BSCA program develops the academic prowess of its students and molds them accordingly to become community-caring individuals founded by integrity, professionalism, and discipline.

The BSCA program within LPU-Manila is regarded as the home of the Customs Broker Licensure Examination (CBLE) Topnotchers due to its continuous production of cream of the crop students. It is constantly regarded as the best institution in teaching the customs broker profession and received numerous awards such as the Center of Excellence for BS Business Administration & BS Customs Administration by the Commission on Higher Education. The Philippines’ First Center of Excellence for Customs Administration. Additionally, the program has also pioneered events such as the First International Port Tour and serves as the mother chapter of the Philippine Society of Customs Administration (PSCAS).
