Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR) is a feature that enables users to reset their own passwords without the need of contacting an IT staff for help.

 

Use the following steps to reset the password of your Office 365 account and get access to your account.

  1. From your Office 365 login page, click the Forgot my password link.

 

 

  1. Enter your University Email

       Address (e.g. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. [This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.])

       Enter the CAPTCHA and click Next.

 

 

  1. Choose an authentication method, provide the correct response, and then click Next (e.g. Authentication via email)

 

 

 

 

  1. In this section (see image below), enter your new password (password must be a strong password containing at least 8 characters and must be a combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. It must not contain your username), confirm your new password and then click Finish


 

 

 

 

Moodle Moot Philippines 2018: “Transformative Teaching Technology”

On April 26-27, 2018, ICT Manila’s Dir. Devy M. Galang and Tech Specialist-AIS Melvin Grencio attended the 1st Moodle Moot Conference held at Centennial Hall, Manila Hotel.

The conference discussed new trends and collaboration in solving technical problems and how Moodle/LMS can effectively support new trends in education and training.

Breakout sessions among different academic and private institutions included discussions on how they maximize and utilize Moodle as their Learning Management System in providing quality education and services for all of their stakeholders.

LPU as Microsoft Showcase School

Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) Manila was recognized as a Microsoft Showcase School for FY 2017-2018. Microsoft Showcase Schools are a global community of schools engaged in digital transformation to improve teaching and learning.  They create immersive and inclusive experiences that inspire lifelong learning and stimulate development of essential skills to empower students to achieve more.

Along with the recognition, LPU Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Director Devy Galang, College of Technology (COT) Faculty Member Dolores Montesines, and LPU Senior High School (SHS) Coordinator Irene Cruz were selected as Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Experts for Fiscal Year 2017-2018. The MIE Expert Program is an exclusive program created to honor global educator visionaries who use technology to pave the way for their peers for better learning and student outcomes.

 

ICT Certified Personnel for Microsoft Certification Examination

 

As LPU’s partner in technology, Microsoft offers annual, expiration-free certification examinations to administrators, faculty members, and employees. Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) is a basic level before moving towards advanced certification as it validates the technological & fundamental knowledge of a person.

An MTA Passer then becomes a member of Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) community with continuous learning while still gaining badges from different fields of examination offered by Microsoft.

LPU Participation in TLC ASIA 17                 

Delegates from Lyceum of the Philippines University joined hundreds of other participants from over 50 different institutions throughout Asia in this year’s Blackboard Teaching and Learning Conference Asia. Other participants include schools and universities in Malaysia, Australia, Japan, Indonesia, China, Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines, among others.  This event is an annual activity that aims to continuously innovate with technologies to advance and grow in a global landscape. The event was dubbed “TLC ASIA 17”, dedicated to furthering the best practices and expertise in the provision of technology-enhanced learning.

Ms. Devy M. Galang, ICTD Director (LPU-Manila); Ms. Maria Teresa T. Basilides, College Secretary and Program Chairperson of Pharmacy (LPU-Cavite-CAMS); Mr. Alex J. Madlangbayan, ICTD Director (LPU-Batangas and Laguna); Ms. Mischelle A. Esguerra, faculty of Computer Science (LPU-Laguna) and Ms. Jerian R. Peren, ICTD Manager (LPU-Cavite) attended the said conference.

The 2-day conference was held on October 4 and 5, 2017 at Conference Centre, Level 4, United World College of South East Asia, 1207 Dover Road, Singapore. A series of keynotes from International and local speakers was held on the first day while the second day was devoted to numerous workshops and sessions during the Academic Adoption Day and Developers Day.
