Unlocking Potential: Exploring the Path of Transformational Education

The Teaching and Learning Innovation Center (e-Learning) and Workplace Learning & Development (WLD) Lyceum of the Philippines University – Manila hosted an event on Metamorphosis of Education: Igniting Transformational Journey on June 14, 2023, at the ARC Events Center Intramuros, Manila. The event was attended both in-person and online via Zoom by different LPU Campuses. Ms. Jennifer D. Tucpi, OIC for Academic Affairs / University Registrar welcomed the participants and Ms. Devy M. Galang, TLC Director, introduced the resource speaker Mr. Jerome Lo, Centre for IT Services Director of Nanyang Technological University Singapore.

The program commenced with the discussion on how the metamorphosis of education approach holds a massive potential to modernize the way we educate future generations. Such an approach shifts the focus from a one-size-fits-all model to a learner-centered approach, recognizing the unique needs and strengths of everyone. Hence, it represents a paradigm shift on how we approach teaching and learning.

By incorporating personalized learning, project-based and experiential learning, inquiry-based learning, the flipped classroom, multicultural and multilingual education, and social and emotional learning, education becomes not only a transformative journey that goes beyond the acquisition of knowledge, but also an education that empowers students, prepares them for the challenges of the future, and cultivates a lifelong love for learning.

In line with LPU’s vision of providing quality education, this event benefits not only the faculty, administrators, and other stakeholders tasked with implementing a revolutionary method of teaching, but also the students who are the primary beneficiaries of this transformation.

Also present at the event are the LPU Manila’s President Atty. Roberto P. Laurel and LPU’s VP for Finance Ms. Sarah Laurel – Lopez.
