The regional elimination of the 2nd Search for PICPA Outstanding Accounting Student Leaders was held at PICPA House, Mandaluyong City on February 01, 2020, in which the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants – Lyceum of the Philippines University-Manila Chapter President, Maria Angela F. De Guzman emerged as Top 3 in the National Capital Region. She is among the 23 JPIA Presidents across the nation that will advance as National Finalists of the said competition. The search was spearheaded by the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) OASL Committee. She is currently preparing for the National Finals scheduled on March 25, 26 & 27 at PICPA House, Mandaluyong City. During these dates, she will undergo a series of leadership training and showcase her written and oral communication skills through on-the-spot essay writing and panel interview activities. Moreover, accomplishments as JPIA Presidents gear towards attaining the projects’ theme “Today’s Outstanding Accounting Student Leaders, the Future’s Distinguished CPAs (Critical thinkers, Proficient leaders, and Admired Communicators).
