The Professional Student Teachers

The Professional Student Teachers are students from the Lyceum of the Philippines University who are willing to impart their knowledge, as tutors, to our International students (Korean, Chinese and Japanese).

An aspiring tutor must pass both written and oral examinations facilitated by the Center. Orientations, seminars and workshops for all the tutors are conducted before the start of each program. Guidelines of activities are prepared for a more proactive performance when tutors are in the field.

Teaching during their spare time helps them financially and it also builds a good relationship between the tutors and students. Tutoring is not only about teaching. It is also a way of exchanging ideas, facts about culture and experiences. In that way, tutors are also learning from their students.

The Center for Language Education and Proficiency is always open for those qualified students to become Professional Student Teachers.
