LYCEUM HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI
Calling all high school graduates of the Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) Manila campus from 1960 to 1970. You are all invited to attend the grand reunion scheduled on July 28 this year at the Bayleaf Hotel in Intramuros, Manila.
With the theme “Golden Years of Truth and Fortitude,” the newly-formed Lyceum High School Manila Circa 1960-1970 plans to bring together all the high school graduates from the 60’s decade into the first-ever gathering after 50 years.

LYCEUM-MANILA'S HRM GRADUATE GETS EXCELLENCE AWARD
IN MANDARIN ORCHARD HOTEL- SINGAPORE
Jinky Fe Aguilar, Hotel and Restaurant Management graduate, Class 2012, of the College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management (CITHM) of the Lyceum of the Philippines University, Manila Campus, recently finished her Practicum Training at the Mandarin Orchard Hotel in Singapore. While working at the hotel, Aguilar showed consistently excellent performance of her duties, rating very high in work attitude, sociability, and reliability, completing her tasks with much passion and enthusiasm. On top of these, she always received positive feedback from repeat hotel guest.

Her exemplary performance merited the hotel's highest form of employee recognition, the STAR Award, which Aguilar won a total of 5 times during her 5-month stint at the hotel.
LPU-MANILA'S TOURISM STUDENTS TO PATA
CONFERENCE IN MALAYSIA
The College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management (CITHM) of the Lyceum of the Philippines University, Manila Campus, sponsored the travel of 3 of its top-achieving Tourism students to Kuala Lumpur to attend the Pacific Area Travel Association's (PATA) Youth Forum. Hosted by the Division of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts of Taylor's University in Malaysia, the one day forum had the theme " Building the Business Beyond Profits, Creating Social and Environmental Value."
The LPU delegation was composed of tourism students Adrienne Cerwin Caliboso, Ryan Cedric Flores, and Kevin Yap who are all exemplary students based on their academic performance and extracurricular activities. They were accompanied by CITHM faculty member, Sally Limgenco. The group participated in all the working sessions which they found timely for today's Tourism trends as these involved Green Economy, Innovations in Events, Social Tourism and Tourism Education.

Lycean, 2nd Placer in the R.M.E. Licensure Examination
A Lycean successfully passed the licensure examination for Master Electricians held last April 2012 with flying colors. Mr. Igmidio G. Ganagana, Jr., a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering graduate, proved that LPU thus continuously TAKE THE LEAD! Out of 1,953 examinees, Mr. Ganagana ranked no. 2. with an average of 86.50.
LPU-Manila also received a 100% passing percentage for this particular exam.
